Elected Chair of ES-UK Trustees in October 2007. I was 59 in 2007, and
live in a village in Cambridgeshire, UK. I have been researching into
electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and the effect on the health of living beings for
some 15+ years. I spent some time visiting families where there was a child
diagnosed with leukaemia, looking for environmental factors that may have been
involved in the development of the illness and offering ongoing support to the
families. I now spend a lot of my working time gathering information on EMFs and
writing and updating articles on the subject. I am involved with the development
of a scientific database evaluating the content, bias and results of published
papers which will be made available on an open access basis for transparency in
science. I also am a partner in a business (EMFields) that sells and hires EMF
measuring instruments and sells screening materials, and support the office
manager whenever necessary in the day to day operation of the business.
I became interested in ES many years ago, as many of the individuals I spoke
to declared their sensitivity and wanted to know what they could do about it. A
charitable support organisation seemed to be the best way of providing the sort
of information and help that was required. I was one of the original 3 trustees,
together with Professor Denis Henshaw and Dr David Dowson. I wish to see ES
recognised by the general public, the medical profession, and the government, so
that appropriate help and resources can be made available to people who suffer
from this debilitating condition.
