ES-UK Conference 24/9/11 - Positive Feedback

Just to say a big thank you to Brian Stein and everyone who organised the fabulous conference last Saturday.

It was really well-organised, with great organic vegetarian food at lunchtime too!

For me the best parts were

(1) Superb line-up of authorative speakers
(2) Useful content - all the speakers provided key information in dealing with ES which was highly useful
(3) Raising the profile of the dangers of EMFs. Handouts provided superb documentation giving real evidence of the dangers of EMFs.
(4) A fabulous networking opportunity

So a big thank you from me to everyone who took part in organising this conference.

Roll on next year!

ESA APPEAL GRANTED FOR ES

Hi - just thought I would let you know that my appeal for ESA (NO PUN INTENDED WITH THE ES)was recently accepted. I attended the appeal in person, which was based on the fact that I was taken off ESA becuase I forgot to go to the medical, the grounds for my appeal were based on the genuine fact that I forgot to attend due to memory issues associated with ES often triggered by PC use. I received a letter which acknowledged this rare condition ! Now I will have to face the medical in the near future and it is unlikely that I will get through this, but hey ho, a tep at a time,

LCD PLASMA LED TVS mounted on walls - DANGER

Has anyone thought about this, simply driving through a neighbourhood in the evening reveals the silent threat, how many times I see large TVs mounted on party walls of semi detached houses or in bedrooms on party walls between the houses, often you see the neighbours in a couch the other side of the TV, this could easily be a child asleep or a baby in a cot upstairs. I am lucky in many ways as my neigbhour has all his equipment in an extension much further away from our living psace, however if that changes there is a nice space the otherside of the wall from our couch begging for a big screen TV to be mounted there - that would be me finished in this house I guess, the siting of these TVs on walls is totally unregulated, the manufactureres should advise that carefull consideration be given to the siting of the TV when there may be occupants on the otherside of the wall spending long periods of time in proximity to the TV on the otherside - lets face it you would instinctively avoid standing or sitting directly behind a TV if you could see it !

Low EMF products and regional support/pressure groups

It'd be great if the site started a thread on low EMF appliances and experiences and also we might start county driven support/groups.

The groups would be to pressurise MPs, NHS, councils to provide facilities with low EMF !!!!

Other illnesses or conditions cancel out my ES symtoms!

I have been ES for I'd say 5 years but what I've noticed whenever I suffering from anything else not related to the ES my ES symtoms lessen or disappear! For example I currently have a sprained ankle lot of pain but the up side is I've been able to use my computer for several hours at once, sit with people using mobile phones and do other things that would usually effect me without feeling ill! You could say coincidence but this has happened a lot of times over the last 3 years. As soon as the problem clears up the ES is back.. Has anyone else had this.

Car Radio Problem

I am ES but can travel in our car if I sit in the back seat under some shielding fabric. However, if the car radio is on, even for a few minutes, I get a bad reaction. The main radio is in the front, and there are two speakers one on either side of the back seat. The car aerial is above the middle of the back seat. It's an oldish car (2003) so I don't think the speakers are wireless - couldn't measure anythig with an RF meter.
Does anyone know anything about the wiring of car radios, or have any suggestions? I would be most grateful for any assistance.

Incapacity benefit for ES

I read somewhere in this site that someone was desparately tryimg to obtain an income after having to leave their job due to ES. Can't find it now - not good on computer - still I typed this offline.

JP -
I am ES but was eventually diagnosed as having ME, many of the symptoms are similar and very varied. The test by a specialist was "can you walk in a straight line", the hospital room was alive with radiation of all types especially masses of fluorescent lights, I staggered along. That was it, I had ME.
People with diagnosed ME get incapacity benefit.
I wish her the very best of luck - don't give up the battle.

watch out for dirty power !

It is a good idea to check your house wiring and telecoms for excessive stray RF in the wires. I found by using an AM radio that a persom 50m over the road who has a 42inch plasma TV connected to SKY that when he turns this on a very invasive and prevalant RF signal is transmitted into the local mains and telecoms so that my house with all its wiring, and other conductive materials (friteningly me and family as humans)is swamped for many hours of the day until finally a single switch is flicked ! and all is bassically quiet. While the herbert sits in his home getting brainwashed by his TV, perhaps for something as trivial as darts or snooker I am driven from my house or suffer the concequences. Since I have established a scuorce, pathway and am a victim I firm;y belive that this is a clear breach of my right to the quiet enjoyment of my property. I have had Offcom visit and investigate they found the scource as I have nominated to be correct, they got a mobile lab to look at the problem, but hey all is quiet, I Have not had a single communication since complaining. This has run me down and I grow all the more frustrated and distressed not only for myself but for my family. What to do........!

Salt - and its electrosensitive affect

I hope this may prove useful to you.

I have always had a tendency to be electosensitive but one time when I was following a high water/salt diet (to aid hydration) I became so incredibly sensitive that even my battery operated alarm clock at the side of my bed would cause me significant distress.

I wasn't sure whether it was the high volume of water that I was drinking or the increase of salt levels. I experimented with this and discovered that it was the excess salt that was causing the problem. I then discovered that saltwater conducts electricity one million times more effectively than freshwater. Further research led me to discover that salt is indeed an electrolyte (electrically conductive).

Please try for yourself. Simply reduce the amount of salt you are taking and see whether that has a positive affect or not on your electosensitivity. Our bodies do need a certain amount of salt so please don't try a no salt diet!

Good luck, and I sincerely hope that my suggestion helps you.
