OK I know they're horrible but fact is they're very difficult to get by without.....some phones have a much worse effect on me than others and I wondered if we could share which models cause us the least discomfort? Any thoughts?

Hi Matt

Im trying to find a second hand mobile with very low SAR rating!
These are old models below, so worth a try?

The Nokia 7200 SAR 0.36
Nokia 7650 SAR 0.35
Nokia 6267 SAR 0.31
Samsung f210 SAR 0.20

Bad phone!
iphone SAR 2.0

Do not be fooled by only the SAR values.

Many cell phones do emit *dirty air*, even when they are off.
Listen to my recorded modulations on:

I was able to use a Motorola W377 I read that it had a low SAR but I went off how it felt really.

I'm not sure about dirty air?

Researcher - have you checked out e-bay I got mine for £3 from there - I wish they still made them with antennas - they have them in Australia if you search for 'country phone' some of them seem to have telescopic antennas.

Im unsure of the Dirty air with mobile? But will look into it!

Will have a look on ebay again. Made a airtube ear adapter for my normal cable for my old Nokia phone. It works well! Put phone a meter away. It felt like old times....

Interestingly some of the newer phones with more advanced operating systems are able to use things like timers - I can manage to write a text off-line then have it send when I am nowhere near!

Like the idea of that! Well so far my 2G seems to be better! With the air tube.

As my work needs me to use a laptop, im contemplating to us a Dongle [ when necessary] which is normally attached to the side of the laptop. But possiably using a long USB cable? so keeping the wireless well away from me.

As phones used by others, when sending data, or logging on to a tower, or just talking on them at a distance from me, are not to bad. Depending on the location??
